Apple developers (Mac, iPod, iPhone) who write well for "how-to" articles
Can you write how-to programming articles that are thorough, concise, and readable? Do we have a gig for you...
The ideal candidate:
- Is a programmer, whether by profession or as a hobbyist
- Is deeply familiar with Xcode and specific Apple frameworks/APIs
- Has a body of writing online I can check out
- Can write to a client-defined, strict style
- Meets deadlines without exception
- Cheerfully and thoughtfully accepts critiques
- Works regularly with Apple technologies (Mac, iPhone, iPod)
Don't worry if you haven't done this specific sort of work before: Your blog posts are good enough, if they're well-written.
This pays well, for a 2,000-2,500-word article (plus code). However, there's a lengthy (unpaid) proposal process, and you'll be expected to do several revisions based on agency and client feedback.
Please respond with an overview of relevant experience, both in programming and writing. Mention specific Apple/iPhone apps you've released and Apple technologies you've used in creating them. Applications without this information will be ignored.
Resumes are welcome, but mostly unnecessary: What's important is the work itself. "Firehosed" resumes, copy-pasted cover letters, and responses that fail to include the requested information will be ignored. Apply through this contact form or by email to tom -at- gellerguides.com.
